We have had Small World do our trees for several years now. Jim Cairnes and his crew are very knowledgeable about all kinds of trees and shrubs. They have also done some tree rescue surgery on two large Monterey Pines on our street, the price was right, and the property owners are quite happy with the results. On our property, they have acquired and planted new trees, diagnosed thrips infestations and made recommendations for contractors to treat them, carefully pruned a very valuable Japanese maple, and done a great job working on a large rhododendron hedge, which seems to get bigger every year. We have a regular visit from them in June and December to handle new growth pruning and dormant mode surgery. We are very pleased with their work (and prices!)
Small World is a careful and responsive tree company that earlier this month expertly removed a large Coastal Oak tree, which was failing on my property and threatening a neighbor’s home. The company’s helpful and professional work crew took down the diseased tree piece by piece so as not to damage either my property or my neighbor’s. Last year, Small World removed a much larger tree that was stricken with Sudden Oak and was considered a danger of falling on my home without warning. In both cases, the work was done speedily and most important safely and carefully. They did a full cleanup. I was very pleased with their work on both occasions, and would absolutely use them again.
Super nice company to work with. Natalie and James are a real pleasure to discuss options with. They came to my place to trim a big tree over my house and the work was done perfectly. I received a quote quickly and they did the job exactly as quoted. It is always nice to know that you can count on the invoiced price being the price quoted. Fantastic work! Jim, the owner, is a tree guru and extremely knowledgeable as well as a very nice, ethical person. He has a good aesthetic eye and a practical approach. His crew is comprised of true professionals who are well equipped, properly trained and operate safely and efficiently. They are a pleasure to work with and always do a first class job.

Extremely happy with the work Small World Tree Co. did for me a few day ago. The tree was perfectly trimmed to a beautiful manicured look. Just exactly what I wanted. No corner cutting, the tree was limbed up and very professionally done.
